THE MONOGRAM SERIES

I created this collection of fine art posters to celebrate the artistry and science of typographic design. So often, the letters we see on the page, we take for granted—that they are legible and facilitate the conveyance of information. But there is a graphic science behind the construction of these letterforms. Stroke width, the proximity of elements, the space between components, and the space inside these forms all work together to make our visualization seamless. If we look closely enough, we can find a subtle elegance in how these forms take shape. I have done that with this series. Quite literally, I have put a magnifying glass to the exquisite details of typographic design.

Since every typeface is different, I have selected some of the best examples of form and space from the world's classic typefaces to create this series.

PRICING

Each poster will be printed individually, measuring 11.75" x 36" on high quality, archival matte paper using permanent inks with deep, rich blacks, and a highlight color matched to Pantone 160. The art includes the uncropped letterform for reference along with the typeface name. Prints are not framed but a framing option is available.

FRAMING: A matte black metal frame is available with UV protective acrylic & acid-free foamcore backing. Please allow 3 weeks for framing.

I also accept commissions for custom letters and colors in classic typefaces.
